Kind Words About the Full Moon Series

“Can I be blunt? Holy Shit! Last night was amazing. I was absolutely blown away by how light and cleansed I felt by the time I got home. I don’t know what kind of sorcery you practice but I’m a convert and I’ll be back. Thank you…what an amazing experience.” - Ron - Stand-up Comedian, Event Software Entrepreneur, Mental Health Advocate

“(Calley is) Incredibly knowledgeable about both the physical and spiritual side of the practice, she is highly intuitive, generous, and tuned in to students’ needs. She gives phenomenal adjustments! If you have the opportunity to stay for a potluck/drink/bonfire/tarot reading or anything else Calley is involved in, know that it will be amazing and you'll be glad you did!” - Jane, Project Manager, Theatre Producer, Actress, Mama

“Ten stars. I feel like a new person. Please teach everywhere all the time.” - Chelsey Schluter Eichen, Mama

“The pace of the class was just right for me with a blend of breathing, meditation, and yoga movement. Calley was positive, encouraging, gentle, instructional, and patient. The music, environment, and tone inspired a perfect & amazing experience. Thank you. - Christine Everett, Dog mama, Team Lead at Target

Practice Is An Act Of Innovation

Innovate your self

The “old school yogis” had a saying:

Yoga is 99% practice, and 1% theory.

I learned the depth of this lesson only when I gave up the idea that my yoga practice was something I “did a few times a week,” and adopted its lessons into daily life. Honestly, it was a relief to give an over-taxed brain a rest to allow the voice of the body to speak: move, breathe, rest, exert. Less thinking, more being.

Innovation usually finds us in one of two ways: the way we choose or the way it happens to us. With our best intentions, we aim for the former. However, when it’s the latter, it’s important to remember that there’s always a way out - it’s just a matter of a little creativity. Milton Friedman once said, “only a crisis - actual or perceived - produces real change. When that crisis occurs, the actions that are taken depend on the ideas that are lying around.” He was talking about a political crisis, but the concept is easily applied to our health, our dreams, and our lives as well.

When stress overwhelms us, when health gives out, when we stumble or even fall, this is the perfect time to take a beat to look around at options. Yoga helps us understand and use this tactic, and make choices for our bodies and lives that help us evolve past chaos and destruction and into movement and creativity.
